Alexander Technique
The Alexander Technique is based on re-acquiring good posture and correcting bad habits that, over many years, cause people to tense their bodies in an unnatural way, often resulting in pain and placing a strain on internal organs.
The Alexander Technique is completely harmless and encourages an equitable state between mind and body. A practitioner helps the client to relax and release muscular tension by using gentle manipulation positioning and assists the person to gradually learn to ‘flow’ and move more effectively, with minimum effort. With practice, correct use of the body can be achieved and become natural to that person. The technique benefits people of all ages and has been found to help, actors, dancers, athletes and public speakers.
A number of ailments may be relieved including: depression, stress, headaches, high blood pressure, respiratory problems, arthritis, sciatica and peptic ulcers.
