Green tea has been linked with a series of health benefits
A chemical extracted from green tea could help scientists to develop new drugs to fight cancer.

Tests by UK and Spanish researchers showed polyphenol EGCG taken from green tea leaves inhibits cancer cell growth.

The effect was seen even at low concentrations, equivalent to drinking two or three cups of green tea a day.

However, the study, published in Cancer Research, also found high concentrations of the chemical may increase the risk of birth defects.

Previous research has suggested that drinking green tea helps to cut the risk of certain forms of cancer.

The latest study found that EGCG binds to a key enzyme - dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) - that is targeted by established anti-cancer drugs.

This stops the enzyme from triggering the manufacture of new DNA in tumour cells.

It appears to work in the same way as the cancer drug methotrexate - but in practice would probably have fewer side effects.

Cancer patients improve from receiving colon hydrtherapy

I have found over the years that cancer patients who are not doing well usually are toxic and not being cleansed. Its similar to comparing the diagnostic efficacy of a sigmoidoscopy of the short end of the bowel to a colonoscopy which takes in the whole bowel.

A enema only goes so far. Colon hydrotherapy is the est cleansing and detoxifier for the gastrointestinal tract that anybody would want. I do promote its use.

Colon Cancer has over 50% Fatality Rate

There are a staggering 363,000 new case of colorectal cancer every year, with an estimated 945,000 globally. More sobering is the fact that 492,000 deaths occur from this cancer each year, over 50% fatality rate.

But just last week, some giant news surfaced that revealed that humble Green Tea can stop colon cancer in its tracks.

The study, published in the journal “Carcinogenesis” just last week, came to the conclusion that we now have a means of treating and preventing colon cancer with staggering success potential.

Dr. Ala Issa from the University of South Carolina, who headed the research study said,

“Our results suggest that Green Tea specifically targets initial stages of colon carcinogenesis; the time of administration of green tea is pivotal for effective chemoprevention.”

The World Cancer Survey

The World Cancer Research Fund survey has issued a report today and there are clear findings to link obesity, and the British drinking culture is linked to cancer.

And it states that there is a direct relation between the extent of excessive weight and alcohol intake and the likelihood of falling victim to cancer.

The survey team has not carried out new research, but has reviewed 500,000 published papers from around the world, selecting the 7,000 most relevant and distilling their findings on cancer into a single report.

Survey chair Professor Sir Michael Marmot, professor of epidemiology and public health at University College London, said he was surprised at the strength of the link it established between weight and cancer risk.

And he said there was a "very clear message" from its findings for the general population: "Firstly, as you enter adulthood, don't put on weight. Secondly, if you are already overweight, it is likely that losing weight would lower your risk."

Prof Marmot told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "One of the surprises to me - as a relative non-cancer expert - is the importance of obesity and overweight.

"We have known about obesity and overweight in relation to cardio-vascular disease and diabetes. The idea that it is strongly linked to cancer, I think, is relatively new."

The direct link between increased weight and increased cancer risk was even stronger than that linking cigarettes with cancer, he suggested.

"With smoking, we know that if you smoke you increase your risk, but most smokers in the end don't get cancer, so it's not a one-to-one relation," he explained. "With obesity and overweight, it is very clear and it is a graded phenomenon. The more overweight you are, the more obese you are, the higher the risk of cancer

Accupunture supports 60% of Cancer Sufferers in this Country

SCIENTISTS in Manchester are seeing if acupuncture could help beat the draining symptoms of breast cancer treatment.

Previous studies have already suggested the ancient Chinese art, which uses pins inserted at points around the body, may relieve the nausea caused by chemotherapy and even some sorts of pain. And it is estimated that as many as 60 per cent of cancer patients already use some form of complementary therapy alongside more traditional treatments.

The source of this information is from the Manchester evening news. When I read that over half the countrys cancer sufferers are using acupuncture as a way of releaving pain, though there are many people that are not given this oportunity. I hope that when this study shows that acupunture is affective then more peole can feel the benefits of this tremendous therapy.

Hypnosis the process

Only a section of the many challenges we face, as fallible human beings, are mentioned above. There are many others and they can be discussed in strict confidence with the therapist.

While in hypnosis, the client is still generally aware of their surroundings and can coose to come out of hypnosis at any time. No responsible therapist would attempt to hypnotise anyone against their will, or encourage an individual to act against their natural inclinations whilst in hypnosis.

Some people, for instance, take the view that ourthoughts and actions are mainly affected by the way we look at the world and how it trats us.
