The increase on the number of self harming admissions has risen over the pass ten years with patients aged between 16- 24. The stigma attached to mental health issues is very prevalent in today's
society, and more so in Schools, University & in the workplace, employees and students feel comfortable with
illness if its the flu or vomiting, or migraine, but when it comes to
mental health issues, people are more inclined to keep quite about it. By not talking to a practitioner about these mental health issues, this can lead to a negative thought patterns controlling your mind state, which will lead to self harm or substance misuse.

Once again Prof Edzard Ernst, professor of complementary medicine at the Peninsula Medical School, has dismissed another complementary therapy, this time he has chosen to slam the use of acupuncture for fertility treatment.
Professor Ernst's not only the professor of complementary medicine he is also a member of the Medicines Commission in the UK for the last ten years. I believe this is why his research has so much disregard for complementary medicine, why would he want to help patients recover faster through treating the causes of disease (through the complementary medicine approach); when patients can spend a lifetime on pharmaceutical products masking the symptoms. Complementary medicine has a different approach in treating patients with infertility, though this is not shown in any of prof Ernst's research.

Psychologists have been treating survivors of the 2005 London bombings for post-traumatic stress disorder.
Over a third of the 1,000 survivors they identified and contacted using police and hospital files needed help coming to terms with the events of 7/7. Though the five year long treatment of psychotherapy in which the psychologist have been dealing with patients emotional trauma has taken too long.
Survivors could be treated immediately for their mental and physical problems through the technique of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). This amazing process can change a patients thought patterns and create a sense of well being instantly.

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum minimum) is a well known culinary spice but
has some amazing healing powers. Its primary use is as a circulatory
stimulant, opening up the peripheral circulation.
It is used in cases of strokes as it helps cross the blood brain barrier. It is also a great wound healer and the powder will stop bleeding very quickly (the stinging lasts a very short time!).

Back pain can be a debilitating ailment, and our perception of this problem can mainly be that its an injury sustained by physical activity or long periods of time in an unsupported position. Where in some situations this can be true in others its not, take stress and anxiety for instance, if a person is stressed their shoulders may begin to rise and their back hunches, a physical response to an emotional symptom.
In conventional medicine the only solution a GP has for the agony of back pain is a prescription of pain suppressing drugs and regular visits to the physiotherapist.
Modern Pilates is based on the original works of German-born Joseph Pilates who designed a series of exercises that uses both mental and physical techniques to condition the body. His methods were used primarily by dancers, however, in recent years these methods have been introduced into the health and fitness industry.
Modern Pilates training programmes are ideal for personal trainers, physiotherapists, health professionals, experienced group exercise teachers and Pilates enthusiasts.
Many things have changed since Joseph Pilates first developed his techniques. We believe that our training programmes brings his techniques into the 21st Century by combining his principles with all the latest research and knowledge we have about fitness, exercise and core stability.
In simple terms past life regression is just remembering. Stored in your subconscious mind are all the memories of all of your experiences, what it is like to be a small child or baby, what its like to be born. Regression is reaching into these memories to enable you to recapture the events of the past, not only this lifetime but also the memories of previous lifetimes.
At first these memories are dim and few but each event remembered sparks another memory and another until it becomes easy.
Some people like to compare it with a filing system that has become sluggish due to lack of use over a long period of time. But with a little care and attention here and there and putting the system on standby soon the system will be running and you will be retrieving the memories and information you request.

Homeopathy is a safe natural way of treating your baby or young child, using diluted natural extracts, usually of plant, or mineral origin. These provide a safe gentle stimulus to health.
Homopathy deals with the whole person, but what is most important, it deals with the psychological needs of the individual child. Its guiding principle is treating "like with like"; or choosing a remedy which in its original form was capable of causing symptoms similar to those the child may be experiencing in the present illness.
