A report out today highlights the concern that the rate of drop in heart disease amongst women under fifty appears to have reached a plateau for the first time since the 1970's.
The worry is this figure could start to rise in the coming years if obesity and diabetes continue to be such problems. These conditions have risen amongst younger people over the past ten years due to poor diet and lack of exercise.
In order to help reverse this trend, younger women need to focus on eating healthy, well balanced diet, avoiding smoking, limiting alcohol and increasing exercise.
